The Shuff's Mini-G was recently featured in the "Gun 2010 Buyers Annual". Here is a link to the article;

I offer two conversion options for those who would like a representative of the M1D sniper and M1952 sniper rifles. I also have my very own tanker design called the Mini-G. The Mini-G is my personal design and my first prototype was fired on August 3rd 2008. This is not like any tanker folks. There is NO front hand guard and no space for one to be. The barrel is only 16.25" long and is the best brush gun money can buy. By the way, like muzzle flash?

Anyone who has ever wanted a Tanker variation knows they cost money. Milling and lathing barrels, oprod bending and cutting, and hand guard modification all add costs to a rifle. The Tanker also has a rather flimsy front handguard as it's only a few inches long. I've fixed this by getting rid of the hand guard all together and reducing barrel length even more! I call my cut down Garand the Mini-G and it's a whole lot of gun for NOT a whole lot of money. The Mini-G is the northwoods brush gun you always knew you wanted but that no one ever had. I can convert your rifle to this configuration quickly and inexpensively. Anyone who has ever fired a Tanker knows that the key is bending the oprod correctly and this is even more crucial on the Mini-G. An oprod that binds is the number one reason the Tanker will not operate. I've bent a few oprods and made a few Tankers before I designed the Mini-G. With a Mini-G purchase you'll have a rifle that runs like it should. I exchange seven parts when I convert your Garand to a Mini-G. Your parts should be in working order and to spec so that they can be used for future customers. Here are the parts that have to be exchanged when I modify your rifle;
1. Operating Rod- Oprods are heavily modified on the Mini-G
2. Barrel- The barrel is heavily modified on the Mini-G
3. Follower rod- The follower rod is modified on the Mini-G
4. Lower Band- The band is modified on the Mini-G
5. Stock Ferule- The ferules are modified on the Mini-G)
6. Oprod Spring (The Mini-G uses a special oprod spring.)
7. Gas Lock Screw (The Mini-G uses an adjustable gas lock screw)
This all takes time and you can expect a Mini-G conversion to take me two weeks. I keep already made up Mini-G barrels in stock. These barrels will have Throat Erosion of less than 5 and Muzzle Erosion of less than 2. Really that's all you need folks. We're talking about a 100 yard Northwoods brush/deer gun and these tolerances will let you harvest game with acceptable accuracy. I will take all Barrels on exchange, pitting/rust should be very minimal, with Throat Erosion of 5 or less and swap them for one of mine. If your barrel has Throat erosion of over 5 than I will charge $100 extra for the conversion. If you would like to use your own barrel than an additional charge of $25 will be added. If you want to use any of your other parts, add $30. Want new furniture or me to supply the rifle? No problem. Just let me know your needs.
M1D Sniper Rifle
One of the coolest modifications you can do to an M1 Garand. Real ones cost in excess of $4000 but I can make you an outstanding replica for FAR less. The only thing I ask you to provide is your rifle and your 7/8th's scope. First I take your provided rifle and provide the following;
1. I disassemble and remove your barrel.
2. I lathe down the barrel at the shoulder and mount a reproduction scope block.
3. I supply a reproduction T37 Flash hider, cheek pad and scope rings.
When I'm done all you need to do is place your scope in the rings and you're ready to shoot. Again, if you would like a new barrel, a full "D" build on one of my rifles or furniture I can provide all these things for you.
M1 Garand M14 Magazine Modification
This modification is one which will allow you to use standard M14 magazines in your M1 Garand. I can simply modify your receiver and you do the rest or I can do a complete package. Unlike others I can also supply the parts! Here's what you get AND what you can get.
Basic M14 Modification- You send me your stripped receiver and I mill out the receiver to accept the M14 magazine. I will also parkerize the receiver, supply the oprod spring guide, and supply the spacer block. You will still need a modified trigger group (BM59's work great), you will need to shorten your mag release catch on the trigger group, and you will need a .308 barrel. $400
Bolt Stop- I will supply a BM59 bolt stop and mill the Garand receiver to accept it. This is NOT a needed modification as the follower in the magazine will stop the bolt after the last round. An empty magazine can be installed for cleaning your barrel. $125
M1 Garand M14 modified trigger group- I swap out your trigger group for a modified trigger group $100
M1 Garand .308 barrel- I only sell these to customers having work done. $225
Deluxe M1 Garand M14 Modification- I will take your complete rifle and modify the reciever, swap out your trigger group, install a .308 barrel, modify your stock to accept a magazine, and parkerize your rifle. I will then test fire for function. $800 add a bolt stop for $75. Add a Mini-G mod for $450.
